Krapperup is a castle estate rather than a village, set among fields between Nyhamnsläge and Mölle. Its history goes back to the 1300s, making it one of Skåne's oldest manors; today it belongs to the Gyllenstierna Krapperup Foundation.

The moated main building is at heart a Renaissance house from the 1500s, remodeled in the 1700s; look for the seven-pointed stars of the Gyllenstierna coat of arms in the facade. The landscape park, laid out in the English style in the late 1800s, is open to the public year-round, with a rose garden, rhododendrons and a pond crossed by red Chinese-style bridges. The castle interior can only be seen on pre-booked group tours.
Around the estate
Kaffestugan serves coffee and sandwiches in the old stable yard, the Kullen art society exhibits in an 1850 stable, and the music hall hosts concerts and theater. Just southwest of the castle lies Lerhamn, a fishing hamlet founded in the 1720s on Krapperup's initiative, and Bräcke windmill still grinds flour on its summer open days.
