Krapperup's history goes back to the 1300s. The moated main house was built in the mid-1500s on the remains of a medieval castle, and since 1967 the estate has been run by the Gyllenstierna Krapperup Foundation, which keeps the park open to the public.
The park
The gardens go back to the baroque layouts of the 1600s and are now a landscape park that falls away toward the sea. Winding paths lead past huge old trees, a rhododendron walk and a rose garden with more than 600 roses of 35 varieties, both laid out by the Danish garden architect Edvard Glæsel, and on to a goldfish pond crossed by red Chinese-style bridges.
Around the stable yard

- Music hallconcerts and theater in the old cow barn, where the summer concerts moved indoors in 1963
