Tallbacken, formerly called Strandbaden after the area around it, is a 700-meter sandy beach on the Öresund between Höganäs and Nyhamnsläge. The water is shallow, with plenty of stones and boulders on the bottom, and planted pines and grassy coastal heath lie behind the sand.

Right by the beach, Visit Örestrand, formerly Destination Strandbaden, has a small hotel, a summer bistro and pitches for motorhomes and tents. In the latest classification the water was rated only sufficient, two grades below the excellent rating of most beaches nearby.
The coastal heath
The Nyhamnsläge–Strandbaden nature reserve, which stretches north from here, protects part of Kulla fälad, the common grazing land that once ran all the way from Kullaberg to Helsingborg. Look for sea holly, a protected, thistle-like plant with blue flowers in June and July. Unmarked paths wander across the heath, and the Skåneleden trail follows the shore north toward Nyhamnsläge.
