A sauna followed by a dip in the sea is a year-round habit on this coast, and winter is when it feels best.

The sauna house at Kvickbadet by Höganäs harbor has welcomed bathers since 2013. The municipality owns it and a volunteer association runs it, opening six days a week. The sauna seats 20 to 25 and is mixed, though a curtain can split it into men's and women's sides. Showers and toilets are on site, and the sea is right outside.

Cold water sense
Go in slowly, breathe calmly, keep the first dips short and never bathe alone in winter. Check the water temperature before you go.
