Kyrkstigen, the Church Path, links Brunnby parish's three churches: Mölle Chapel, the medieval Arild Chapel and Brunnby Church. It is a pastoral walk of sea views, rolling hills and horse paddocks: along the wooded foot of Kullaberg, through Arild and on by the old church path to Brunnby. Marked in both directions since spring 2026, it follows existing paths and roads. The whole path is about 8 km, an easy 2–2.5 hours, but you can just as well walk part of it.

- Mölle Chapel to Arild, about 6 kmthe path starts behind Mölle Chapel, by the free car park at the entrance to Mölle, and heads east on forest paths along the foot of Kullaberg, with scree slopes on one side and the sea glimpsed beyond the fields on the other. It passes the little castle of Kockenhus, climbs through a beech wood, then runs past horse paddocks and along the forest edge below Björkeröd and Himmelstorp. Around Himmelstorp's lower car park it shares about 700 m with Kullaleden and the Red trail, then heads down toward Arild with wide views over Skälderviken bay
- Through ArildKyrkstigen follows lanes shared with the Arildslingan village loop, passes St. Arild's Catholic chapel and the hotel Rusthållargården, and drops down to Arild Chapel, just above the harbor
- Arild Chapel to Brunnby Church, about 2 kmsteps and a very steep hill lead back up out of the village; to skip the hill, follow Stora vägen to the start of Lilla vägen. Past a new housing area, a path climbs beside a copse with a glimpse of little Balderup Castle. Then Lilla vägen, the old church path between Arild and Brunnby, leads past the vines of Arilds Vingård to Brunnby Church
Along the way
Mölle Chapel dates from the 1930s, and hepaticas flower on the slope above it in spring. Kockenhus was built in 1883, and a Bronze Age sword was found there in 1886. In spring the beech woods are white with wood anemones and smell of wild garlic. From Himmelstorp's lower car park, the half-timbered farm at Himmelstorp is under 1 km up the Red trail. Arild Chapel, first mentioned in 1475, is Skåne's only medieval fishing-village chapel, and medieval Brunnby Church stands in a walled churchyard.
Good to know
- Wheelchairsnot suitable: the forest paths aren't adapted for people with limited mobility, and Arild has steps and a very steep hill
- Waymarksthe purple plaques are small and sometimes easy to miss, so watch for them at junctions
- Reserve rulesmost of the forest stretch lies in Kullaberg nature reserve: keep dogs on a leash all year, light fires only at the fixed grill sites and never during a fire ban, and don't pitch a tent
- Getting backbuses are few. Bus 223 stops in Arild and at Brunnby kyrkby; change at Nyhamnsläge for bus 222 to Mölle. In summer, line 203 replaces it and runs between Arild and Mölle. Check Skånetrafiken's journey planner, or walk back: the path is marked both ways
